The butterfly princess had no hope, locked up in her castle by her evil Uncle Jim. She needs to run free with the butterflies and Jim just needs a friend. What are they to do?

The Mars Volta

The Mars Volta. TMV. Volta. A bunch of talented musicians making music, lead by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala. They are not a product of anything. Does it seem like they’re in this for a quick buck? With 8 minutes songs, haunting sometimes indecipherable lyrics, I don’t think so. Are they in it to make us, the fans, happy? NO! They make this music because it brings them happiness. It’s something they have a talent for and love to do. Isn’t that the purpose in life, to be happy day in and day out?

That’s why I don’t understand all the TMV bashing on the internet box… Who are you people? You always lead by righteously stating that Deloused was awesome, but then their subsequent music just didn’t do it for you. It was all wrong. Omar lost his edge. Cedric’s fire went out. With all those instruments, how could they produce such little sound? News flash Johnny Introvert, they don’t give a shit what you think! Why can’t they make their music? If you don’t like it, that’s fine, tell the world. But move on, no sense clogging the internet with toxic waste. Not everyone are aficionados like you, so why spoil it for the next grom? Wow, I really like this new album! I waited so long for it! says the wide-eyed grom. EVERYTHING AFTER DELOUSED IS CRAP. THEY REALLY GOTTA GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER. 

Hooray for you. This isn’t a competition – not between you and Volta, not you and the other bloggers, not even you and your own insecurities, at least it shouldn’t be. This is expression of the soul through music. Its a celebration, a lamentation, a question, a journey, an explosion, a message:
